Kamuli Deserves Better

For God & My Country!

Dear fellow Ugandans and residents of Kamuli in particular, I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Iam Stephen KAPERE, a social worker who has voluntarily served our nation since 2008 after resigning my media job.

I will stand for Kamuli Municipality Mayor 2026-2031 to bring equality and sustainable development for all in the next five years.

As a Christian leader, I believe Kamuli needs sanity and tolerance in its leadership. Our people are tired over blame games by the government and their elected leaders in Kamuli. For quite a number of years, the government accuses elected leaders for failing government programs within the district and the elected leaders also blame the government for failing their leadership in the municipality.

As leaders, we should be peace makers. We are entrusted by our people to unite not to divide, bring togetherness, development, reconciliation not war. Our town needs service delivery. Majority of our young people in town are jobless due to the high and unfavorable taxes and the indiscipline of the municipal enforcement, there is too much chaos in our transport system and the hygiene of our town is at stake.

These are some of the issues that i will immediately handle as your next Mayor in office to regain the glory of our town.

I equally wish to use my position as Mayor to lobby for the tangible and financial support for our Unemployed young people in Kamuli who are the Majority as well as promoting ICT among youths.

Young people, this is our time to change Kamuli, Uganda and the world as a whole. I call upon our seniors / fathers to support my cause and together let’s invest in building bridges not walls. Thank you.
